I've been to Th Richmond a couple of times for the Thursday open mic, and it's easily one of the friendliest I've experienced in London. Unlike other open mics where you just play your set and leave, this one feels like a real community. The host, JT, is fantastic—she not only runs the night smoothly but actively encourages jamming, which adds to the welcoming vibe. It's more than just a gig; it’s a space where musicians connect and genuinely enjoy playing together.
My good friend and I were in the city visiting and found the Richmond on our quest to have a few drinks after a long day of travel. Little did we know we encountered one of our favorite people during our visit to Europe- the manager, Julia. She treated us just like family, and went out of her way to help us with recommendations during our visit. We enjoyed her company so much we went back the following day just to chat with her again. We are so glad we connected with her and stopped by the Richmond for a couple of drinks! Recommend stopping by for a pint, and who knows how long you may end up there!
We went there to play some pool and have a beer, it’s not a crowded place. They charge £5 deposit for each cue and £1 for each pool round. We spent £10.70 in 2 ciders which is the regular price paid in pubs. The telly was a bit loud but I guess it was because of the football match.
Overall it’s a normal pub as any other but chill.
