Excellent, old-fashioned boozer which has decor heavily influenced by the Republic of Ireland. Despite this, the pub still attracts a wide range of customers, including post-match QPR fans and gig goers heading for concerts up the road at Shepherd's Bush Empire. Good range of lagers on tap although nothing will interest the real ale aficionados here. Always extremely busy on any Saturday night when I have visited which can make finding a seat challenging in what is a small pub. However, service is fast as the bar staff are remarkably adept and serving several customers at one time.
Is this West London’s most beautiful pub? No. But is it an honest boozer? Yes. Cash only is a real throw back and inductor for what to expect. Lagers, (very good) Guinness, and some bitters. Top pub before QPR games. Not big; cosy.
What a great little boozer. Such welcoming locals and bar staff. This is a must to see part of English heritage and good price for a pint! Hopefully not to many tourists will visit as it would take away from the local pub feel.
Absolutely recommend this pub, no food served no fancy neon lights, just a TV, a great pint and lots of good humoured banter!
